2. Change gon Come
This week has been tough at times, but I'm proud to say that I remarkably just rationally handled it in most cases! On top of that I didn't go down the route of feeling bad and making the mistake of contacting that "certain" person we all have that we know is bad for us (and wont exactly help either); but for some reason we tend to want to turn to for comfort in times of distress?! It could be anyone a sister, a lover, a friend they often just make it worse especially if they don't get it! I figure there is always going to be confrontation in this world and we cant change that but what we can change is how we chose to react to those many forms of confrontation. People say the definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, so guess what? I figure that change is gonna have to come from me as I cant change other people.
This week I'm reading "Breathing Space" by K.Repka & A.Finger; its got some far out ideas on how our breathing is the one of most important things we do and can form a basis on how you think and therefore live. It has all sorts of Meditation techniques, if your into the yoga thing like me you will probably enjoy it. I find it interesting because it acknowledges and respects the "little" things we take for granted like breathing or being able to learn different things and put them all together, so many people have blinkers on and miss out on so much whilst concentrating on negativity and obsessing about other people!
So on summation what I am trying to say is I am no longer a kid and I cannot LET my past or other people's behaviour determine my own course of action in the present. I have chosen to accept full responsibility and ownership for my actions and that is the only way I will know peace. Everyday should be lived like our 1st because then we don't bear grudges, can forgive and let go of worry. Today is a new day we can ALL start again! There is life as long as we're still breathing!
The jam I turned to this week is by the unforgettable Sam Cooke -the First African American Record Label owner. Peace x

Rules for being a Madame
1. Do NOT Apologize for who you are, saying what is wrong/right and what you Believe in.
HELLLOO!! This is my first ever blog! You're probably wondering..what is this "Madame" Blog all about...and btw, nope I'm not quite done editing the old html design code just yet.. So "Madame"..what is that? Who does she think she is??!Is she trying to say she is the owner of some sort of house of ill repute? Do I "Madame" think I'm ALL that and a bag of potato chips? Miss thang!! ;)
I picked "Madame" as the name of my business because when I was 12 (and looked like a boy with my God given height, and an afro that I had to keep shorter than short on account of my Catholic-All girl Secondary School education) my father still called me "Madame". Which I always thought was hilarious considering my be-spectacled appearance, you know the kind of glasses that were light-sensitive...nice...and nope I'm not posting a child-hood picture! You'll have to burgle my parents house for that! So I picked the term "Madame "as it is reflective and powerful, I'm into both! Fast forward 14 years and here we are, 3 years ago I chose to go down the entrepreneurship path and open a shop selling our own Madame Hair branded products. The idea worked and I now have two shops in Scotland. Step by Step day,day by day!
Entrepreneurship and business means so much to me. We all have our different paths to live, I cant tell you the journey of self discovery I've been on, and the wonderful people I've met. All the learning has humbled me to bring perspective on what is important in this life. One of the many lessons I have been blessed with is GET YOUR FOUNDATIONS RIGHT, then you begin! Know who you are and what you believe in and make NO apologies for it! The rest is between you and God, some people will get you some people simply wont and Nobody said this life was easy. You CANNOT waste your precious time and energies constantly explaining yourself to Brick walls who will never see what you mean, even in 100 years...trust me I've been there, it's a no-win situation
In this weekly Blog I will bring together the many things(musical, art, hair, fashion, business, people) that inspire, me in hopes that you can benefit from them and also share your inspirations, we need Soul food SO much in this sometimes desperate day and Age!
Lets make things easier and help each other along!Click on link below!
